I also would like to find out who I would talk to about riding my own horse in the park. Ironically, I live a block from the park but board my horse 40 minutes away in Woodside. You can rent horses by the hour at Mar Vista Stables, and be led by a guide down to the beach, riding along the ocean, and back. Mar Vista Stables is located just south of Fort Funston, off of the Great Highway. Check out their website & google maps for specific directions! They are the closest riding stable to the city!
There is amazing trail riding in the hills above Stinson Beach at Miwok Stables, too. About 10 minutes across the GGB. And the horses are *fantastic*. I have been riding there myself for a couple of years.
