Golden Gate Park Segway Rental

Some people put on their walking shoes, settle into a bus tour, or hop on a bike to explore the beauty of Golden Gate Park. But today, there is a new method of exploration sweeping the park. A Segway tour is the perfect way to not only sightsee in comfort, but also embrace eco-friendly transportation.

There are two different ways to use a Segway Scooter to venture throughout Golden Gate Park: tour or rental. In the company of a guide, you can whiz through the park on a tour with the added opportunity to momentarily walk about selected attractions, such as the Conservatory of Flowers and Japanese Tea Garden. However, with a map in hand, many visitors enjoy renting a Segway to see the sights on their own.

For some, the Segway is seen as an intimidating mode of transport, but most people get used to this invigoratingly fun apparatus within a couple of minutes. Just ask anyone who has taken the free lesson at Segway SF Bay, offered with no obligation to rent or tour. You are also very much in control of how fast you go – with the option to travel at walking speed (1 mph) or increase your pace up to 12 mph.

Segway Scooter rentals are offered in one-, two-, and three-hour increments with prices ranging from $30 to $75. It is also important to keep in mind that the battery used to power the Segway lasts between 2 ½ and 3 hours, meaning a maximum rental will last up to 20 miles.
