Question:
We are interested in using the park as a venue for our Division’s gathering event on September 17, 2011 Saturday from 12 noon-5pm. Can you let me know how can I reserve a spot or get a permit to use the space? Looking forward hearing from you.
Answer:
If you want to reserve a specific area in Golden Gate Park, there are permit fees to consider that vary depending on the number of participants, site selected, and the reason behind your picnic. Information for corporate events and sites is found here: http://216.121.125.82/docs/CorporatePicnicFlyer.pdf
Information for family, schools and non-profit organizations and sites is found here: http://216.121.125.82/docs/FNPPicnicFlyer.pdf
Permits and reservations are made through the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department. To reserve your space, contact SF Rec & Parks at (415) 831-5510 or (415) 831-5500. You may also place a walk-in reservation by visiting the Pioneer Log Cabin (2 Stow Lake Drive in Golden Gate Park) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday, and 9 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturdays.
